Embedded World 2024

Meet Robert Berger at the Embedded World in Nuremberg.

Introduction to Embedded Linux Using a Yocto Project SDK

This one-day training class uses hands-on exercises combined with instruction to illustrate some basic concepts of Embedded Linux. Hands-on sessions are performed on a remote host with a Yocto Project® SDK and on some hosted target hardware. The whole workshop is designed to bring you quickly up to speed. The concepts and commands necessary to make effective use of Embedded Linux are described through a combination of theory and hands-on training. Don’t re-invent the wheel, but learn from an experienced trainer and take the newly acquired knowledge of Embedded Linux and the ability to effectively integrate it into your own embedded development projects back home.

– Please bring your own laptop with you
– You have to log on with your laptop to Robert Berger’s virtual remote lab via ssh where you can execute the hands on part.

– If you use Windows and putty, you have to do the following to make the function keys work on the hosted Linux build machines:

putty: Change Settings –> window –> translation –> utf8
putty: Change Settings –> terminal –> keyboard –> xterm R6
